Built by an operator who got tired of spreadsheets.
Saldovi didn’t start as a startup. It started as a problem: running real short-term and long-term rentals in Cyprus, across spreadsheets, bank apps and a folder of receipt photos, and never being able to answer the simplest question — which property is actually making money?
Nicosia, Cyprus · est. 2024
The spreadsheet was the most important system we owned. And the least reliable.
The tools on the market each solved half of it. Short-term platforms managed the Airbnb side but ignored the leases. Long-term landlord apps tracked rent but assumed a US bank and US tax forms. Finance tools showed revenue but not the mortgage. So, like a lot of operators, the answer was a spreadsheet — and the spreadsheet quietly became the most important and least trustworthy system in the business.
Saldovi began as an internal tool to fix exactly that: one place to log every booking and every lease, fold in the mortgage and the meter readings, and finally see the real net on each property. It was built against real operations — actual properties, actual guests, actual books to close at month-end. Every feature earned its place by solving a problem we had that night, not one we imagined in a planning doc.
This is the most honest origin story in software: it works because we needed it to.
Once it was running our own portfolio, it was obvious other EU operators were stuck in the same place. So we’re turning the internal tool into a product — for the operators who, like us, run a flat on Airbnb in summer, lease it for winter, and just want to know what each one keeps.
Our mission
To give European rental operators the financial clarity they’ve been faking with spreadsheets — one euro-native source of truth for mixed short- and long-term portfolios, so every decision is made on the real net, not the gross.
Five things we won’t compromise on.
The product is opinionated because the operators who built it are. These are the rules everything ships against.
The net is the only honest number.
Revenue flatters. We build around what you actually keep after financing, utilities, fees and cancellations.
One source of truth beats five clever tools.
Fragmentation is the real enemy. We’d rather unify your portfolio than add another tab to reconcile.
Built for the EU, not adapted to it.
EUR from the first line of code, GDPR-aware, hosted in Europe. Not a US product with a currency switch bolted on.
Honesty over hype.
We don’t claim features we don’t have. If we don’t sync channels, we say so — and we tell you what we do instead.
Earn every feature in production.
We ship what real operations demand, not what a roadmap thinks is impressive.
Built in the EU, for the EU.
Saldovi is EUR-native and uses the en-IE locale, so there’s no currency conversion and no foreign tax assumptions baked into your numbers. It’s GDPR-aware by design and hosted in Europe. We’re a small, independent team — close enough to the work to answer you ourselves, and close enough to the regulation to take it seriously.
